Ten attendance counts needed to enter one horse in the Open Finals, five additional counts needed to enter each additional horse. No qualifications required for The Myrna, The Why Not or the Junior of the the Finals. Futurity qualifications differ. See Futurity info.

Each contestant will have the opportunity to download all of their digital images (social media sized) from The Myrna, The Finals and The Why Not. A per contestant fee will be assessed at time of entry regardless of which classes you are entering.

Downloads will be available immediately online at the conclusion of your run. These watermarked images are for digital use only, not to be used for print or advertising. Prints and advertising images can be purchased on the lexismithmedia.com website.

Rider Substitutions will not be permitted after the close of entry. See Vet/Med Out Policy.
Horse Substitutions are permitted by self-service through SaddleBook.com until the close of entries, after which you
must contact the office via email or on-site at the office and a $25 fee per horse is assessed, however no horse swaps allowed after your first round draw position has happened.

Enter on SaddleBook and use “Mail In Check” option at check out. Check must be mailed with 30 days of checkout!

**All stalls come pre-bedded with two un-opened bags of shavings. No portable stalls/tying overnight. Must use a facility stall and shavings when staying overnight.

Stall not required for day trippers. Need to pay a one-time haul in fee for The Myrna and/or The Why Not or for the whole event (WCBRA Finals, The Myrna & The Why Not).

Juniors are exempt from haul in fees if trailer coming in is just for a Junior.

Day parking MUST park in designated day-parking area and pay haul in fee.

**Again in 2026** Haul in fee was reduced AND modified to a per trailer fee as opposed to a per contestant fee that it was in the past.

AQHA members riding registered American Quarter Horses are eligible to enter. You do not have to own the horse. The contestant must be a current AQHA member and the horse must be registered with AQHA to enter.

All vet outs/turnouts prior to close of regular entries on September 13th will be immediately released of all entry fee responsibility with the exception of applicable office and check/credit card fees and no note or reasoning will be required. All WCBRA Finals vet out/med outs received by email with valid vet note/doctor note between the dates of September 14th and September 21st will receive a 70% refund of entry fee excluding stall, office and credit card fees. If no vet or doctor note can be provided within these date deadlines, the contestant will receive no refund. All vet outs regardless of timing, must be communicated in email to [email protected].

Pets ok – but must remain on a leash at all times.
No bonfires. BBQs ok.

The main arena will be set up with a holding pen and alleyway. A Race Official will oversee the holding pens.

• Riders are expected to load the holding pens during the drag (5 riders that are up and their helper if needed). The holding pen gate will be closed when the barrels are set and the tractors are parked. Riders and their helpers NOT in the holding pens when the gates are shut will be fined ($25 fine) but allowed to run if they choose to accept the fine, so long as their drawn position has not been passed.
• Riders will have a total of 90 seconds to enter into the alleyway and cross the eye after their name is called. After the 90 second mark racers failing to cross the eye and run will be disqualified. If your horse is hard to start, please have a plan.
• Help, in closed-toed shoes, is allowed in the holding pen, but no person or horse is allowed past the plane of the gate into the alleyway except those that are up and race officials.
• Please be mounted when entering the alleyway, however if other plans are required please communicate with us at the gate.
• Failure to follow the holding pen rules or respect the race officials will result in a fine of a minimum $50 unless otherwise noted above.
• Hat fines will be assessed to anyone who lose their hat in the arena during the Finals. $10 will be added to our SaddleBook entry for payment online or at the office. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO RETRIEVE YOUR HAT FROM THE ARENA SOON AFTER YOUR RUN – You do not need to pay your hat fine first. WCBRA is not responsible for misplaced hats.

All decisions of the Race Official will be final.

Limit 15 entries. $45 entry fee. 10 and under as of 01/01/2026. No membership or qualification required. A junior cannot be entered in the Finals. This class is intended for young riders still learning to be competitive. Leadline is permitted but these times will place after non-leadlined individuals. Dress code and back numbers enforced. Helmets encouraged. Waivers must be signed. Juniors enter on SaddleBook.com. Straight pay. Awards to all. Gist Silversmith buckle to winner.

This class will run at the conclusion of the Finals racing on Friday, September 25th.

$10K Added Sidepot. $100 EF per run. All times carry into a combined payout. Can enter each of the four days. Must enter eligible horses on the Breeder’s Challenge website. Payout to be sent out from BC post event.

You must have a valid membership and obtain the 10 required attendances for the first qualification and 5 additional attendances for each desired subsequent qualification towards the West Coast Barrel Racing Association Finals. Email us for any qualification questions: [email protected]. You DO NOT need to wait to be fully qualified to enter the Finals. If you are drawn out due to qualifications you will be refunded.

No qualifications required for Finals Juniors, The Myrna or the Why Not race.

Please note: Payments will be 4 weeks apart precisely, and therefore may fall on various days of the months. 4% Processing fee applies similar to all other credit card payment options. There are no addition fees for this option compared to paying your balance in full by credit card.

Dry Camping per TRAILER: $45 for whole event.
This fee covers any combination of nights and is no longer per person, but per trailer and has been reduced in price from previous years.

Drop Trailer Parking: Free.
This is for any trailer being used to haul in horses and left unoccupied overnight.

RV Sites: Reserved for Sponsors & Producers
Only 36 sites are available on the facility. Reservations are strictly offered to Producers, Sponsors and Crew. If any spaces remain they will be offered on a first-come first-serve basis upon gates opening Wednesday of the event.

50 amp sites: $165 for Thursday, Friday, Saturday night
30 amp sites: $150 for Thursday, Friday, Saturday night

Western Attire with cowboy hat or helmet required while competing at Finals. Back numbers must be worn Friday and Saturday only during any competing. No dress code for the Myrna or Why Not. Mandatory long-sleeved, buttoned-up, collared shirt, tucked in. Western pants, cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat or helmet. Hats lost in the arena will result in a $10 hat fine. Riders are responsible to pick up their own hats nearest the location it was lost, i.e. first barrel. WCBRA is not responsible for misplaced hats. Any dress code violations will result in a $50 fine. Please dress professionally, as photos will be taken and displayed in various publications.

The Futurity Finals are strictly for nominated and qualified horses only. To be qualified a horse must have four WCBRA futurity attendances by September 13th, 2026. The Futurity Finals are strictly a carryover from the open. Any rider can run a futurity finals horse if they are properly qualified as a rider to attend finals on the proper number of horses. Two carryover rounds – One $125 entry fee. 2D payout in rounds | 1 second split. Awards only in average. Year-end awards presented to 10th based on points. Average awards only based on finals to 3rd in each D.
